Maryland Raptor Rescue. Rescue. Rehabilitate. Release. Research. Educate.

Maryland Raptor Rescue is a Maryland non-profit corporation, and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization for the purpose of providing raptor rehabilitation services.

Our founders, Mark & Heather Jeweler, are currently MD DNR-permitted apprentice wildlife rehabilitators, apprenticing at Owl Moon Raptor Center in Boyds, MD, under Suzanne Shoemaker, working to complete all of the requirements to obtain our state and federal permits.

Meanwhile, there is much work to be done to have our facility ready. We are creating our raptor center out of our home in Severna Park, MD. We are working to obtain the equipment, supplies, cages, etc., build a number of mews, and eventually a flight cage.

We are proceeding down dual rails, in a sense. On one side, we are putting a great deal of time, money, and energy into getting ourselves and our facility ready so that at the right time, we can begin providing services independently. On the other side, we are working diligently as volunteers and apprentices at Owl Moon. Both of these are important, and neither should be at the expense of the other.

So we ask you to support our efforts in any way you can, but we also ask you to support Owl Moon.
